As Health Grant Manager and Lead Editor, I directed the full editorial process for multi-year funded partnerships with the Gates Foundation and the Rockefeller Foundation, transforming partner objectives into high-impact journalism and multimedia campaigns.

  • The approach

    I directed narrative development across three editorial series — World’s Best Shot, Following the A-Team, and The Last Milers. Each combined first-hand reporting, photography, and short-form video to humanize complex issues such as vaccine distribution, community health leadership, and neglected tropical diseases. I managed global contributors, oversaw multilingual publishing, and aligned production with advocacy milestones.

  • The challenge

    Vaccine misinformation and inequitable access created deep barriers during the pandemic. Both foundations needed stories that could rebuild public understanding and confidence without relying on institutional language.

Rockefeller Vaccine Confidence Campaign

Designed and deployed multi-phase content to address vaccine hesitancy in BIPOC communities in the US, combining long-form reporting, social media activations, influencer outreach, and paid distribution.
